Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno feels proud and grateful due to Jakarta Provincial Government achievement in Universal Health Coverage JKN-KIS Award 2018.

This achievement is given directly by Indonesian President, Joko Widodo to Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan at Istana Merdeka, Jl. Medan Merdeka Utara, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (5/23).

"I appreciate this achievement, but we mustn't be self-complacent," he stated, Thursday (5/24).

He explained, health services in Jakarta in the future will be focused in promotive and preventive programs. Because currently it is mostly done in curative and rehabilitative patterns.

"Now Jakarta Government has OK O-Care program that can identify and anticipate health problems through promotive and preventive approaches. We will intensify it in urban villages," he explained.

He added, around 17 percent of Jakarta Budget is allocated for health services. Through promotive and preventive approaches, he hopes health costs could be reduced.

"Promotive and preventive programs implementation can also open job opportunities. We want many job opportunities can be offered in health sector," he affirmed.
