Jakarta Environment (LH) Dept. will repair biological ecosystem in Kali Adem Mangrove Conservation Area, Muara Angke, North Jakarta after it has been cleaned from trash.
We will cooperate with Jakarta Forestry Dept. to plant mangroves at the location
Jakarta LH Dept. Deputy Head, Ali Maulana Hakim mentioned, his side will try to plant mangrove in the mud which is formerly mixed with trash.
"We will cooperate with Jakarta Forestry Dept. to plant mangroves at the location," he said, Wednesday (3/21).
According to him, mud is mangrove planting medium. There is a possibility the mud at the location is made from the remaining of organic waste that has decomposed and hardened.
"We pick up non biodegradable trash such as plastic, styrofoam, and others," he conveyed.
