As many as 100 personnel of North Jakarta Satpol PP assisted by 250 police officers tore down 10 rented houses along the riverbank of Sentiong River, RT 17/05, Sunter Agung Urban Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Thursday (2/20). The demolishment is carried out related with normalization plan.
During demolishment process, there were some people who claim as the owner of the building protesting officers. Even one of them, H Amin scolded the officer.
The demolishment had been stopped for 15 minutes. Luckily, the officers swiftly secure H Amin and his family, thus demolishment could be resumed.
Head of Sunteragung Urban Village, Indria Hilmi said that his side has repeatedly held socialization and directs the owners to move, but it was ignored. Since Wednesday (2/19), he decided to send the demolishment warrant (SPB) to them.
"There are 53 buildings in the northern region. The others had moved and leaving 10 buildings. The land belongs to the state and will be used for project," he expressed.
When being confirmed about the request for a number of contractors who ask to be relocated to Komarudin Flats, he admitted has given its recommendation. As for the policy, is the authority of Housing and Government Building Department.
"Such recommendation has been given to 12 applicants. Certainly, its permit lies in flat proprietor," he told.
Coordinator of Dam and River Normalization, Heriyanto exclaimed there would be a 750-meter-long inspection road on the banks of Sentiong River. The construction will be carried out after the land is sterile from illegal buildings.
"The project is a continuation of the embankment. On the left side, we will build inspection roads as long as 750 meters," he finished.
