The Thousand Islands Regent continues to finalize preparations for celebrating the Thousand Islands' 18th anniversary, which falls on November 9.

The event scheduled on Karya Island, Pramuka Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands will present various activities, including free medical check-up service for citizens.
"Besides free medical check-up, we also have blood donation. Each urban village can bring its citizens to participate," expressed Thousand Islands Vice Regent Junaedi, Monday (10/21).
There is also sea cleanup action on the settlement island, which is focused on Lancang Island, and Untung Jawa Island. It is planned as a result of crude oil pollution in the water area some time ago.
"We also have bike sport, where it will take routes from Lancang and Untung Jawa islands," he added.
Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency Head Herwin Meifendy uttered medical check-up service is slated to be held on November 6.
"This is open for the public," he stated.
