Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Irwandi today has inaugurated the Flamboyan waste bank on Jalan Kramat Lontar, RT 02/07, Kramat, Senen that was built on the initiative and self-help of local residents.

"Besides making the area clean, there is also economic value for citizens," he expressed, Friday (10/12).
Instead of being dumped carelessly, residents should sort plastic waste, cardboard and cans to be sold it to the waste bank as savings.
"Through waste bank, the environment becomes clean and the people are prosperous," he stated.
Central Jakarta Spatial Planning and Environment Division Head, Bernard Tambunan added that the incessant construction of the waste bank is also related to the arrangement of the area thus the environment remains clean and healthy.
"Thus far Central Jakarta already has 153 waste banks in each urban village," he stated.
