Commission E Supports Giving Bonuses for Athletes in Asian Games

City DPRD's Commission E Chairman, Syahrial is supporting bonuses for Jakarta athletes who fight for Indonesia in the Asian Games.

" This is a form of our appreciation for them"

According to him, it is a form of appreciation to athletes, especially medalists who have fought the nation's name.

Aside that, Medal-winning athletes should also be given the opportunity to work as civil servants (PNS).

"This is a form of our appreciation for them," he expressed, at City Council building, Wednesday (8/29).

He added that medals won by athletes helped boost Indonesia's achievements at the Asian Games that is currently in fourth place.

"Indonesia has exceeded the acquisition target of 16 golds," he stated.

As for the information, the executive party through Jakarta Sport and Youth Dept. proposed giving bonuses to athletes in the APBD Amendment posture.

The gold medalist was proposed to get a bonus of Rp 300 million, silver Rp 150 million and bronze Rp 90 million. In addition to athletes, trainers are also proposed to get bonuses.
