Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno wants more small and medium enterprises (UKM) in the capital that can go international.

As the initial stage, to realize it, Jakarta Provincial Government is opening the workshops and curates for the flagship UKM products in the capital.
"Today we begin the curation process for UKMs in Jakarta that we will push into an international creative economy," he expressed, when he opened the workshops and curates for the flagship UKM products, at City Hall, Monday (2/26).
The event is also attended by Jennifer Isaacson from New York as curator and artisan or a skilled craftswoman.
"This provides an opportunity for business actors to showcase their flagship product in New York Now that is the largest artisan market in North America," he explained.
Sandi stated curation detail is done including product, packaging, production technique, marketing, and then follow up with market.
"There will be chosen one or two slots that are very detailed curation. Hopefully UKMs are not chosen this year can follow the exhibition next year," he expressed.
He added it has an important meaning for the resulting product quality, competitive, characteristic and labeled Indonesia.
"We want to have a good impact on the economy in Jakarta and Indonesia. I had tabulated about 1,500 jobs that could be encouraged if we developed this," he said.
