Vice Gov. Wants Organized Tourism Sites Before Asian Games

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno wants tourism sites in Jakarta to be organized well before Asian Games XVIII event is held in August ahead.

" Kota Tua should be tidy before Asian Games. During Asian Games, we want many athletes to visit those tourism sites"

Especially, he mentioned for Kota Tua arrangement, Pinangsia Urban Village, Taman Sari, West Jakarta because of many small medium entrepreneurs (UKM) in that tourism site.

"Kota Tua should be tidy before Asian Games. During Asian Games, we want many athletes to visit those tourism sites," he stated, Wednesday (2/7).

According to him, UKM's products should be prepared well to make Asian Games athletes and foreign tourists are interested. Because athletes usually love to shop or buy souvenirs.

"I noticed, they usually buy jacket, backpack, and sandals," he expressed.

He added, Asian Games is projected to open 100-150 thousand new business.

"We want to present a new market in Asian Games event," he added.
