50 Buildings Standing in Jembatan Lima Controlled

50 illegal buildings and 29 stalls belonging street vendor (PKL) standing on a water channel of Jalan Sawah Lio I, RW 01, Jembatan Lima, Tambora, West Jakarta were controlled by personnel of Satpol PP. Water Resources Sub-dept., PPSU, police and army, Wednesday (9/6).

"Controlling is done to restore the channel function that is often clogged when it rains," said Tambora Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Ivan Sigiro.

Sigiro explained, his side deployed 30 personnel plus 37 personnel of Water Resources Sub-dept., 7 personnel of Environment Dept., 30 personnel of PPSU, 6 personnel of police and 3 personnel of army.

"It runs peacefully. We secure eight carts of PKL here," he expressed.

Jembatan Lima Urban Village Head, Jhoni Palar added, prior to controlling, his party had sent warning letter and held socialization to the building owner and PKL.

"Post-controlling, the channel will be normalized," he closed.
