" Big trees must not be cut down in RPTRA development"

Seribu Islands Regent, Irmansyah said, the RPTRA development that spread in five settlement islands must be free of tree logging. The park design should be able to adjust the condition of the land.

"Big trees must not be cut down in RPTRA development. So it must be according to layout presented," he stated, Monday (8/14).

According to him, waiting for the tree to grow into a big it takes a very long time. While on the island trees are needed for shelter and rain water absorption to make good water quality on the island.

"Principally there is no tree logging and good arrangement," he expressed.

Those RPTRAs that will be developed in Kelapa Island, Harapan Island, Panggang Island, Tidung Island and Lancang Island must be of good quality.

"So I want regional heads to monitor the project in the field," he closed.
