Jakarta Provincial Government plans to add more bronto skylift vehicles in the capital to tackle fire in buildings. Currently, Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Dept. only has one vehicle with a range of 95 meters height.

Such plan was conveyed by Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, when he attended a ceremony of Fire Dept.'s 98th anniversary at Monas, Wednesday (3/1). He wanted, the dept. to add 120-meter bronto skylift vehicles to reach the 25th-storey buildings.
"We'll contact entrepreneurs who have buildings for mutual cooperation, joint purchasing. This is for common safety," he uttered.
He added, at least in one business area, such as SCBD and Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin, one vehicle can be on standby. It aims to more quickly get to the scene.
